Please help me feed my 1yo.

DD is 16mo still breastfed and a great eater. The problem is me . I cant ever seem to figure out what to feed her. She eats what we do just cut up or smaller pieces. She only has her 2 bottom teeth...so she chews some too. She will NOT eat anything that is like baby food no applesauce or yogurt. I need suggestions on other things to feed her. She walks around the house whining for food. I give her little snacks too but she gets burnt out quickly on them. What type of foods are you feeding your 1yo? I feel like a bad Momma b/c I know she is hungry.

are you sure she is asking for food because she is hungry? its pretty common for that age to just ask because they are bored and get used to grazing all day. just a thought.

I have thought about this but usually she is asking for num-nums too. After she is fed she stops for a while and is content.

Some of ds's favorites are cheese, cut up fruit, peas, diced carrots, sauteed zucchini, quesadillas, black beans, muffins of any type, meatballs or meatloaf chopped into small pieces (loves this still especially if he dips it into sauce), cinnamon raisin bagels, cereal, fish sticks, shredded/chopped up chicken.

Re: Please help me feed my 1yo.

Keeping in mind my 10 mos old is gluten/dairy/egg free at the moment, he so far likes anything we throw at him!
Avocado, mango (all fruit really), melon of all kinds, berries of all kinds, rice pasta, rice (plain or stirfried) most veggies (cubed), gluten free toast/waffles/pancakes/muffins cut up, raisins (cut in half), almost all meat0 chicken, steak, sausage, pork etc (I try to keep back a few bits from supper the night before for the kids), quinoa, GF cereal- corn flakes or rice puffs, rice cakes with soy butter, sweet potato (roasted and cubed, or baked fries), potatoes, corn on the cob...basically if we're eating it, I try to make it so he can eat it too. He's big on feeding himself lately.

I made tons of batches of small whole wheat pancakes and freeze them. Dd can eat them and walk around without making a mess which made both of us happy.

The above list is great

My ds also likes frosted mini wheats soaked in milk. It's a favorite of everyone in the house though lol!

Applesauce and goldfish crackers, kashi soft cereal bars, the crust from dd and ds pb&js cubed. He drinks whole milk too, which is nice and filling also. Maybe your milk isn't as fatty now? Still nutritious but not as filling?
