Re: No letdown sensation ... EVER?

Feels like a tingling sensation to me. Some feedings I feel it a few times each side, and other feedings I feel it only once or twice and sometimes not at all. With a couple of my babies I never felt letdown at all, although they were quite chubby and obviously getting plenty. Oddly enough I've felt letdown a lot this time, yet we've struggled off and on with low supply and slow weight gain.

Re: No letdown sensation ... EVER?

I did not feel letdown with my first three, but this time I feel it strong! It is sort of a painful feeling, like a pressure building feeling for me. I feel it every time I am feeding (in both breasts) and randomly in public, which makes me check my chest with paranoia for leaking ...

Nothing here and been nursing for 40 months, 14 of it tandem. I have been told it can feel tingly, some moms it's uncomfortable.

Same for us--with #1 I never felt anything, with #2 it's actually made me yelp out loud a couple of times, especially when it happens when I'm not already nursing, LOL!

Same here also. I didn't feel it with DS until he was about 8 months old. With DD, it hurts. In the beginning, I would do it every hour. I wanted to cry sometimes.

Re: No letdown sensation ... EVER?

I never felt it with my first. It was uncomfortable with my second, almost painful tingling and tightening. With my third, I wanted to jump out of my skin! Thankfully it stopped after a few months.

Re: No letdown sensation ... EVER?

I never felt my let-downs until my daughter was four months old, at which time it felt like my armpits itched. Then with my son, I felt them every time, like a rushing sensation from my chest wall towards my nipple.

Re: No letdown sensation ... EVER?

My letdown feeling ending about 3w ago. This is the longest I have nursed, but it is my 4th child. The pain has been the worst this time around.
It was a burning sensation........like 5 million bee stings at once.

Re: No letdown sensation ... EVER?

NOPE NOT ME EITHER!! I pumped/bottlefed my first baby until he was 6 weeks old, that was 17 years ago and never any sensation no matter how I expressed (hand or pump). Now with DD who EBF's straight from the tap, same thing.. no sensation! My cousin and I were just discussing this a few nights ago! So funny you brought this up!
