Diaper Swappers

Hello! I'm a brand new SAHM of a beautiful 7 week old baby girl named Emmeline (Emma or Emmy is what we've been calling her). In honor of World Breastfeeding Week this week, I would also like to add that she is exclusively breastfed!

I'm dying to switch her to cloth diapers and am currently trying to convince my husband that it's worth it. I'm so overwhelmed with all the brands, types, and choices! I think I have an idea of what kinds I'd like to try, but hate to spend the money to try them all! I've found a cute site to rent some for a little while and plan on doing that soon to start. I can't wait to build my stash! I can already tell that this will be my new obsession!

If anyone is from south of the Houston area in Texas, I'd love to get together to chat about cloth diapers and hopefully see them in person! The closest store I can find that carries them is almost 2 hours away and I don't know a single person who uses them or even knows someone who uses them!

Not in Texas but just posting to say that I think a rental program is a GREAT idea when starting out. It's a really good way to figure out what it is you like and don't like. I can tell you from personal experience in making the switch that the type that I thought I'd like most didn't actually turn out that way in practical application. =]

Welcome from another Texan!! I am about 6 hours north of you though. There are quite a few mamas from around Houston though.
