Anyone South of Houston?

Hello! I am brand new to the cloth diapering world and I want to make the switch! I would love to get together with someone to chat about cloth diapering and hopefully see their little one in them. I've never seen them and I'm completely overwhelmed by all of the choices! I think I have an idea of the kinds I want to try, though. I hope to hear from someone! Thank you!

I'm in the Lake Jackson area so anywhere below such as Alvin, Pearland, Sugarland, Galveston, Santa Fe, Wharton, etc. Or even in the Downtown/Galleria Houston area.

I'm inside the loop. Frieda, there are a TON of CDers around. I have a couple of ideas...
One is to come to a babywearing support group I run at The Motherhood Center (http://www.motherhoodcenter.com/inde...upport-houston) ... you'll meet a few of us there, and we can get you sent off to a few other local resources.

Two, is visit a few stores that sell cloth diapers (new and used), and a few places do free diaper intro workshops...One is Young and Restless. Another is Nurtured Family. I'm sure there are more. One that is a friend of a friend's business is http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001424269403 ... I might be mistaken, but I think she does diaper parties?

Three...join the Happyones yahoo group... it's houston-wide and includes a lot of different families, mostly ones connected because of AP-type parenting styles...but as AP isn't defined by rules, there are all kinds of us. Many do use cloth diapers. Joining that yahoo group will get you info on when the meetups are, and if you can make one, you're sure to see cloth dipes!
