The way I see it, I have very little to no advice to give in threads about flats, circ, formula, knitting, how to deal with a moody teen, and other things. So I don't read them. I scroll on. I don't get mad about it and ask mods to banish those conversations. Off topic is off topic. It's the catch all. If their were a goofing off/humor/boredom buster sub-forum, those posts could go there. But there isn't.

that's pretty rough. I've actually been here even longer than you have and I LOVE rainbow cake and I'd be pretty sad to see a friendly note in my pm box putting me in my place just because YOU don't like it. Is it really a "waste of space" to have a few laughs and lighten up the mood of someone's day? Life doesn't have to be all serious threads and vents and negative energy.
I'm pretty sure the way it was explained in the past was that the "inside joke" (even though it is PUBLICLY explained in another thread) was being seen as offensive & disruptive, two qualities which are against Diaperswappers' rules.

I'm not going to go digging for the past examples I'm thinking of, I'm sure the mods will see this thread and the others and do what they will...they normally take care of this stuff pretty well.

I didn't get a snobby tone from her post, but there is a lot of room for interpretation over the internet. It's hard to "hear" her tone when it's typed.

I am really and truly offended by very little. If I don't like a thread, I move on. If a user annoys me, I block that person.

If I were someone who didn't understand the things that others find humorous, I think I would still worry a lot more about truly offensive posts, posters who join just to post a random shady link, graphic images, sexism, and people who don't even have children or children in their future, or intentions of having kids posting all over the place, giving off the heebie jeebies.

Clearly I'm not the one trolling in this thread. Good luck OP! LOL

I actually agree with the OP. It meets my definition of trolling.

I totally understand if they get annoying. And that is totally ok. I could list posts that annoy me, too. But I would NEVER ask for them to be "put in their place" or removed from DS. How hateful and shameful is that???? One of the things that I love about DS (and why I feel so at home here) is that the ladies can be so diverse. Why would anybody want to remove part of the diversity?? Let's remove all the ladies that like to get giggles and shiz. Let's all be serious, only have awfully painful vents and talk about how to save money. Boooooring!

I think Tina is upset because rainbow cake was her baby that she started here. It instantly became a hit because - let's face it - cake is awesome and who doesn't like color?? She's probably also upset because the OP is being really rude.

I guess you're gonna feel what you're feel. I don't see how quotations around "rainbow cake" signify anything in particular. But I've never read the rainbow cake thread, so maybe I'm missing something
