I think it is because it implies that it is something other than a baked good of cake mix and coloring. I made one for my son in April. It was tasty. It was an actual cake. Now, unless I'm walking around with so serious wool over my eyes, what they are talking about is actually cake. I think that's why the quotes are offensive.

I have no clue what the rainbow cake references are. I just know some people like the nomad girl got kicked out of DS for pretending to be someone they are not. Joke or not, fake posts are the same thing. People devote time and energy reading lies, I fail to see how it is any different then when someone like nomad allegedly does the same but she gets banned.

I am not saying these are not real people. I actually know a few of the people posting these. But I still think the content would fall under trolling.

So if we want to have playful posts, I am fine with that but it would be nice to have the joke posts clearly labeled as such.

Just my 2 cents.
