KL0's with shot elastic...is there a fix?

I just bought a big lot of newborn fluff at a sale. It was all bagged up and I pulled out a few items at the sale and all seemed great. It was marked as "hardly used" and looked it! Well, it must have been in storage for a while or something because as I was going through it all at home I pulled out the KL0's and it seems that almost all of them have dry rot in the elastic! I wanted to cry when I tugged on one and heard that dreaded crackle!

Is there any way to fix it? I don't sew but can pretty easily find someone to do it, but is it possible to replace the elastic in these? I didn't see anything on their website about it...am I just out of luck?

I'm sure you can replace it. I would say you should just add the elastic to the outside if you don't mind how it looks. That would save you from having to open them up.

Thanks mama! I'll have someone take a look. I'd rather have the elastic inside...anyone ever replaced elastic on KL0's?

its really easy to do for someone with the sewing skills and it WORKS! find a mama on here who sews and is familiar with replacing elastic and have them "talk" you through it so you can get it done. I have done it for my KLOs that I saved from all 3 kids and did it with some Good Mamas as well, ande i am not a great seamstress
