Covers for toddler-sized fitteds??

My DS is in toddler size fitteds (Monkey Snuggles, Piddle Poddle, Crickett's, etc.) but our Flip covers and Thirsties Duo size 2s barely fit over them, even with the fitteds on the lower rise setting.

What sort of covers am I going to be able to use? I mean, he has a long way to go before PTing. Any recommendations??

I definietly go with a sized cover rather than a one size. Imse Vimse, Nikky, and Cot'n wraps are some really great, full cut covers that run large

Re: Covers for toddler-sized fitteds??

We got a Blueberry Coverall this week, and I really like it. It is very generously sized. DD is 19mos, 28lbs, and extremely tall. I put the Coverall over a GMD Workhorse fitted and a GMD prefold, and she was still on the middle rise snap, with plenty of room around her chunky legs. I agree about the Duo covers - they are a little hit-or-miss. I think the Flips are a little better, they fit my DD beautifully over the same GMD fitted, but they don't have as much room to grow as the Coverall.
I would try the Coverall, and maybe a Weehugger, since they will probably have a similar fit. I am expecting a Baby Beehinds cover and a Swaddlebees ABC cover (some sites still carry them) sometime in the next week, so after I try them out, I will let you know how they fit!

XL Motherease airflows or Imse Vimse.

Which fitteds have you found that you like? I'm trying to find fitteds (very absorbent) & aio's that fit past 35 lbs.

I love Stacinator So Simple covers. They are gentle on the legs and are full coverage over any diaper.

Re: Covers for toddler-sized fitteds??

Well, DS isn't anywhere near 35 pounds. He's 8 months and 21 pounds but has a pretty long rise (most fitteds I was trying were giving him plumber's crack). Sbish snapless fitteds, Piddle Poddle Toddler fitteds, and large sbish diapers fit him very well right now. I have some Monkey Snuggles XLs that are even a little too big for him, which makes me glad that there's SOME fitted out there which will give him room to grow! I've also heard Twinkie Tush and Twinkle Fluff fitteds have very generous rises, but I have yet to score one of either. Hopefully soon!

Re: Covers for toddler-sized fitteds??

Ok, follow up on my previous reply: They both have lots of room, but...
ABC wrap - Nice, but not as trim as Flip or the Baby Beehinds one, and the elastic is a little thinner, so not as cushy.
BBhinds - DD is skinny enough that I had to cross over the tabs, but the rise is reeeally nice. If you are looking for a longer rise, I would definitely give it a try.
Plus, they are both cheap at Nicki's Diapers right now.
