Need Carseat advice...

I want to buy a friend a convertible carseat. She has a 4 door Dodge Stratus. Anyone know the best carseat for extended rfing for that seat? Oh and trying to keep it under $200.

We had a Chrysler Sebring (the same car, really) when DD1 was born and she was RFing the entire time we had it in a Cosco Scenera, so if she needs an economy seat and that fits her child, that should work with her car.

The Radian fit size wise but I wouldn't trust a LATCH install right now and the belt stalks are too long to get a good install with the seat belt. Our EFTA and MR fit in it fabulously.

How long does the Scenera fit for ffing when that time comes? I want something that will last until booster seat if possible.

Im loving my Marathon for my little guy who will be one in Feb. Its a classic and im pretty certain it would fit nicely!

If you're wanting to get all the way to boostering, I would skip the scenera, it doesn't have a very tall shell and its only 40 lbs FFing, so the majority of kids would not make it to a proper booster age in it.

I'd go with the MR if it installs well FFing too.

See I am not local to her so can't check seats fit. Kinda was hoping someone with the vehicle could give suggestions what they have found.

See I won't be able to tell if MR installs well FFing. She isn't local. No babies r us near her either for her to check.

Sorry, I'm not sure. We only had the car seat up until DD1 was about 20 months old when our Sebring was parked at DH's work and another driver lost control and rolled their car into ours, totaling it. She was a BIG 20 months old, though, and nearing the RFing limits, so we went with a Graco Nautilus with the insurance money from the crash for the seat.
