Update in post 28!!

I am so excited! I have been planning to get this going, but we had a huge event (finally here this week) to plan...so as soon as I get back from it next weekend we are going to get this going! Our plan is to launch by November 1 - full line of semi-custom organic advocacy clothes printed with eco-friendly ink. We will have onesies, lap tees, (kimono style as well as traditional), karate/yoga pants, hats, and a few options for mom and dad too!

So here's my question - I could offer a wider variety of colors (6-10) and have the price point be a little higher, or a narrower choice of colors (4) and have the price be lower. I really like the idea of having multiple color options but that means that my inventory needs to be higher so my cost is higher. The customer will get to pick which 'message' (of 7 that we launch with then will add more as interest grows) they want as well as which shirt/pant/hat they want it on. Then for co-ops I will offer some additional options.

What would you rather have? More options or lower cost?

More options I would think hopefully I can snag one when you launch. Good luck!

More options plus I love the idea of items for mom and dad.

Re: Advocacy shirts!

Personally I would rather have fewer color options (its the snazzy message we are going for anyway) with a lower cost for those of us who would love to dress in a more eco-friendly way and get the word out without breaking our extremely tiny bank. :-)

I'm very tight on money (who isn't these days?)...I would love to spend my money on more eco-friendly clothing but most of it is so high that it is between getting one eco-friendly shirt, or 2-3 not so eco-friendly when my shirts are starting to all fall off me (running really brings off the baby weight from 2 babies) and I look like I'm wearing a circus tent and we have only 15-20 dollars a month to augment my wardrobe.

Re: Advocacy shirts!

i'm torn... i typically would say lower cost, but I can never find anything in yellow (my favorite color) so if you go with more options please pick yellow!

Re: Advocacy shirts!

Lower cost as long as the shirt colors go with most things for boys and girls.

Ha! This is why I think more colors is better...people have their favs. It's just such a rough thing...I could keep it around 12-14 if I do simple colors, more would be like 17.50 and that feels high (kids tee/onesie pricing).

The simple colors available to me are baby pink and blue, off white, choc brown and black. Then the other line offers a ton of colors but more $$ and means higher inventory.

that is going to be a tough decision with such a huge price difference... I wouldn't pay 17.50 for a baby shirt, but that would be a good price for an adult shirt. I think $12-14 is a good price and I would go with my second fav color brown
good luck!
