can I just lay inserts/doublers in a cover?

I am fairly new to CDing and have been using a lot of AIOs and pockets and am curious about covers. I guess they are appealing to me because I can use the cover more than just one time a day if not heavily soiled.

I appreciate the help!

Have you looked at Flips? That's what they are basically. I usually use trifolded prefolds in covers, I have a couple of pockets and I feel like I'm wasting diapers if I use it just once. lol

depends.. You shouldn't lay microfiber against the skin so those inserts no but cotton bamboo hemp flannel ect can be.. DOublers alone might not perform well enough but yes its an option.

yup! You can lay in flats, prefolds, inserts Wahm/ bigger brands...pretty much anything but MF unless it has a bum friendly topper like the Flip inserts do.

I think Flips with Prefolds/Flats is a great way to go and wish I would have!

you can depending on what they are made of as PP said , no microfiber right next to the skin but cotton , etc is ok - flips lay in inserts are a great price and work well

or just trifolding PF or flats too
