bleb help
I have had a blocked duct for a little over a day now, complete with engorgement and pain. Ive tried dangle feeding, pumping, warm compress, changing nursing position, massage. There is tiny bleb on my nipple, which ive tried to pop with a pin. but all i accomplish is pushing the white plug further in and causing pain. I cant flip it out or open the pore enough to get it out.
![]() My OB wants me to start antibiotics to avoid mastitis. but i would like to get it solved without starting them if possible. Does anyone have any tips? |

I had to pull on one with a tweezer after antibiotics failed to fully clear my mastitis because I was still plugged. It hurt, but olive oil and lanolin healed it super fast. Hope you feel better soon!

Re: bleb help
I would try tweezers as well. Or if you can get the tip of the plug out and stab it sideways with the pin, you might be able to pull it out that way. I know I was able to do that with a couple of mine.
And make sure to have something handy if you get the plug out. You will probably have quite a bit of milk come pouring out as soon as the plug is gone. |
