I think this is "old school" My grandma asked me about giving DS water. I thought that was weird, everything I have heard says not to give them water until they can get it themselves

there is no nutrition in that. your lo is growing..no signs of gi concerns or dehydration...that is a big no.

dont feel like you have to do puree at 6 months if you dont want to. If the baby is still growing well with just BFing then you can go alittle longer. read about delayed solids.

that being said I did do purees at 6 months......I started giving sippys of water 8 to 9 months of age to help him learn to use a sippy but it was with meals not in place of bottles/bfing
my ped is big on only milk or water....no juice or other...once older infant/toddler
