My little one passed just a few days after he died but do keep in mind fetus's do 'shrink' or so I've read. Idk how true it is, but just because the measurement is 6w doesn't necessarily mean that's when ur LO passed. So u may not have been waiting as long as u think. Idk if that helps or not.

I'm so sorry for ur loss. My mc devastated me. Big hugs.

Thanks mama, but I'm pretty sure of when it died- I had an US only a few days prior and the heart was beating. I've been waiting a while...

Sorry for your loss mama. Like previous posters have put, I don't really know a safety timeline, but I know by the time of my losses the baby was predicted to have stopped growing a couple of weeks before we knew. Both times my doctors gave me a timeline of 2-3 weeks depending on how I felt. Neither time did they say we have to have a D&C now. It was more when you are ready. Some came quickly. My first I was almost ready to call the D&C because knowing for the 3 weeks that my baby was gone was agonizing, but right at the 3 week mark it happened. Hugs.

you can wait longer. Start taking angelica. But make sure you're taking your temp. If your temp goes up at all, throw in the towel

I've done the miso twice after waiting about 4-6 weeks each time. For me, my body just doesn't want to let go. It was so much worse waiting, then just being able to move on. The miso isn't that bad, and let me start things on my time, in my own home. mama

Thanks for your input
Are you suggesting the angelica to help prevent an infection?
And do you mean like a BBT?

Thanks mama, It's starting to sound really tempting. I'm having a really hard time letting go, which I'm sure is screwing my body up At this point I'm completely emotionally drained.

Re: taking your temp -- no, not a bbt, just a regular fever thermometer. If you develop any fever at all, watch it carefully, and if it's over 99 for more than a few hours, you need to get checked for infection asap. If not treated promptly, an infection could turn life-threatening.
