Round Steak, Help!

Round steak was on sale last time we went shopping, so we got a couple of pounds. We had some in a stroganoff, and now I'm planning on using the rest tomorrow. I need a good, quick and easy recipe. Any suggestions? I was thinking beef tips over rice, but I just used my crockpot today and not sure if I can go another day smelling something cooking all day long, and not go insane!

We love fajitas. Pan fry the steak cut into strips. Put enough of worchester sauce in the pan to come up half way on the steak. Add seasonings that you would like. Cut up onions and bell peppers and when the steak is almost done add them. Have flour tortillas, shredded cheese, sour cream, refried beans as garnishes for them. Yum yum

Re: Round Steak, Help!

I just made this tonight and it was really good.

Beef Noodle bowl

8oz spaghetti or linguine
3 c broccoli florets
3 med carrots peeled and sliced
2 tsp veg oil
1 lb beef sirloin steak, (I used round steak), cut into strips
1/4 c Italian dressing
1/4 c teriyaki sauce
1 tsp ginger (I didn't have any ginger, I put in a tsp garlic instead)

Cook pasta as directed, add veggies to last 3 min of cooking. Drain pasta mixture.

Meanwhile, heat oil in a large nonstick skillet. Add meat, cook until brown on all sides stirring occasionally. Stir in dressing, teriyaki and ginger (garlic). cook until sauce thickens, stirring occasionally.

Toss pasta and meat together. Serve

This would also be good if you wanted to stir fry some cabbage and onions. It tastes like Japanese yakisoba.

Hmm, that's a good idea! Jason loves fajitas. I can shred some chicken to go with them. Thanks!

And the beef noodle bowl sounds delicious, too! I think we have enough round steak to do both of the dishes.

Re: Round Steak, Help!

We're even less technical. We do "something on a tortilla". Cook it whatever way you want. Add whatever tortilla filling type things you happen to have on hand and call it dinner.
