19m old DD has the poops, the gross green poops since yesterday evening. Daddy was home watching her yesterday and said the only "new thing" she tried was a pork rind. (No judgment please, he just gave her one to try. He knows they are too salty to eat as a snack.)
Anyways- so I have no idea if that's what's caused these epic poops or if she's just caught a tummy bug. (Entirely possible because what 19month old doesn't shove everything into their mouths.) We've also started "de-pacification" training 3 nights ago, which has been going well but she's been a bit more fussy (getting less and less each day) at nap and bedtimes. More so at bedtimes, where she will cry for a solid 10-15 mins before going to sleep because she's angry about her "broken" pacifier. Today at nap time, I handed it to her (I cut the tip off) and she just threw it back at me. LOL So I think we're almost done with the "want" of a pacifier from her. So I don't know if that could be contributing to her poopy diapers too. I have DH picking up some fresh apple sauce and some Pedialite on his way home from work and I've been feeding her gentle foods today, (eggo, grilled cheese, goldfish snack, dry cereal snack and white rice for dinner later,) is there anything else I can do for her? She normally has a cast iron stomach so this is kinda unusual for her. I mean one runny diaper is OK but this has been going on for 24 hours. She's running around acting "normal" too and no fever, so it's just a "tummy" thing right?

No fever and no behavioral changes would make me just watch and keep her hydrated. Could also be teething poop.

Re: "Just the poops Ma'm"
Thanks mama!
She is cutting all 4 canines atm. Maybe so! She's had 3 cups of Pedialite so far and is acting normal...hopefully she'll feel better tomorrow!

Re: "Just the poops Ma'm"
I was going to mention it could be from teething as well. DS gets diarrhea when its bad from teething. I would try to give the BRAT diet. (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) if it seems like her tummy is bothering her.

Re: "Just the poops Ma'm"
i wanted to add, when DS has eaten something greasier than normal or higher fat, he can get upset stomach with looser stools, sometimes greenish. i assume its like excess bile, maybe the liver does a "dump" to cleanse the body of the excess fat they ingested.
if it continues, call the Doctor, hope she's feeling better soon!

Re: "Just the poops Ma'm"
Day 4- still poops. Still acting normal though.
The doctor has her on a strict clear liquid diet for 24 hours. If she doesn't improve by Weds morning, I have to take her in. Poor baby!!

Re: "Just the poops Ma'm"
I think it is possible it could be stress poop from losing her pacifier. That was my first thought as I've seen that firsthand before. It is also possible that it could be from teething, but I would assume that there would also most likely be a low-grade fever as well? Hope she is feeling better soon!

Re: "Just the poops Ma'm"
Thanks Jen! I'm hoping it is the pacifer thing. We loaded her up on Jello and Pedilite today though so hopefully tomorrow will be better!
