Re: What is up with baby food in pouches?

I *believe* there is BPA in the lids of glass jars- maybe that has something to do with it?

They taste like smoothies. They aren't watered down at all. They are less messy IMO. My 17 month old is still in love with them. We give her them and she sucks/squeezes the baby food out as a snack. She eats like 3 a day that way.

I tried one and it was a total PITA to get the food out of, and the creviced (sp) bottom made it even harder to get food out of the slits on the bottom and the corners.

Re: What is up with baby food in pouches?

I generally make my own baby food, but I buy the pouches for my 2 and 3 year old for special treats or on the go snacks. I think with baby #3 we'll use them as our travel option for babyfood rather than in the glass jars. And I agree, they do taste very good!

another convert here!!! I was just introduced to them a month ago. My non-veggie eating 2.5 year old sucks these down and calls them all "my" applesauce. He loves them and I'm able to sneak veggies into his diet finally!!! We buy happytots from alice.com or amazon they are about $1 piece vs $1.29 at our local store.

My 2 year old loves the pouches! We give them to him for snacks.

The only thing I do not like, is that they cant be recycled. The glass jars and plastic containers can be, so that makes me a little sad.

I know, that bothers me too. I always throw the cap in the recycling but that's all I can do.

They say that because of the lower shipping weight, you are still ahead of the glass jars, environmentally-speaking.

oh, and, the spoons are made by Boon. Target does have them, but I have not found them to be worth it, overall.
