Allergy Medication

Does anyone deal with seasonal allergies? I was taking zyrtec before I found out but have stopped. I know some of the fatigue is pregnancy, but some of it is seasonal allergy related. I get strong allergy reactions here in NY from pollen and dust.

Would it be ok to keep taking the zyrtec? I always hear you aren't supposed to I do remember stopping part way into the 1st trimester with my son, but we were in CA and I didn't need to take it in November.

I don't take allergy meds when pregnant. It is super hard in the spring but I get thru it somehow

DDC.... I have both seasonal and year round allergies. I have taken both zyrtec and claritin while pregnant. My midwife says either is safe if needed. I would prefer to not take any mess while pregnant but can't function without my allergy meds.

I had to take zyrtec thru the spring and summer when I was prego with my DD. It was a life saver! I was never told not to take it..

Thanks! Part of me doesn't want to take it, but I get so congested it can create mild asthma for me which makes it hard to sleep. I think I will start again.
