Quick! Should I wake her?

Today dd got up at 6 because she had to go to daycare (for the first time too). She only took a 20 min nap at daycare! Anyway, she fell asleep in her high chair eating dinner. I moved her to the couch but she's still asleep. I'm so afraid if I don't wake her and keep her up for a few more hours she'll wake up at 2 am rarin' to go. She usually goes to sleep around 11-12 (TRYING to change this!).

I'm hoping she's just super tired and will sleep through the night, but I'm going to kick myself if I let her sleep now and she wakes up in the middle of the night. I have to work tomorrow and dh isn't here to "watch" her while I sleep if she does wake up. What should I do???

ETA: She also usually doesn't get up in the morning til around 10.

I would let her sleep, hoping she gets onto a better schedule. She needs the sleep if she's going to continue getting up at 6.

Oh no!! If it were my DD I would not wake her but my kids are huge super sleepers so when they go down they are usually out for the count. I would think she should be tired enough to STTN. Did she actually eat any dinner? I would be more worried that she would end up hungry in the middle of the night.

Today and tomorrow is the only day's she will be going to daycare. But I still want her to get on a more normal schedule. So, maybe this will jump start it. Praying LOL

If my kids stay up until 11 or 12, they sleep less than if they go to bed at 8 or 9. Stange, I know. I would try to move her schedule way earlier if she is getting up at 6. I put my 2yo to bed at 7. But, no I wouldn't wake her.

I'm just worried b/c she's done this before and woken up. But yeah, she did eat dinner, a lot of it actually. She had taquitos, beans, and a banana.

I'd also let her sleep. If she does wake up, hopefully she'll know it's still sleeping time as long as you keep it dark.

Re: Quick! Should I wake her?

If it makes you feel better my son and I had later naps today as I had a doctor appt and a bunch of things on base to do and we didn't get up till 6:30+ and he's still wide awake playing nicely. But, he's going to be made at me as he's going to bed soon (he's asking for a snuggle so that comes first ).

Mine is only 1, so he hasn't hit 11pm or later, but his normal bedtime is around 7pm and he sleeps till 6:30 or 7am. If we are out and he goes to bed at, say, 9pm, he frequently wakes up by 6am. I've never been able to figure this out so I'm glad he's not the only one!
