Re: Cookbooks?

My go-to cookbook for basic scratch-cooking recipes is the Better Homes & Gardens New Cook Book (the red and white one). I use it constantly. Others that I love include: The New Moosewood Cookbook, Gooseberry Patch Family Favorites, Quick From Scratch Pasta, and recently I've been checking out some recipes in Cooking with Trader Joes I am a cookbook hoarder of sorts and enjoy just browsing through them!

Re: Cookbooks?

I have a never ending stash of cookbooks too. DH thinks I'm crazy when I 'read' cookbooks :-) I'm interested in the Pioneer woman one. Where did you get it? I love good new tasty recipes with basic staple ingredients.

I got mine from Amazon for $17 and change. It's a good read with fun little stories and pics.

I love to read cookbooks too, but with the recipe blogs that are out now, I do it less.

Re: Cookbooks?

I've been taking some out from the library (all different types, too - vegan, raw, gluten free, cookies, etc. and the regular ones like Joy of Cooking - we do have a copy but haven't used it at all really lately - or Better Homes and Gardens) but usually I only use a few recipes from one particular book so we end up collecting the recipes we actually use for my own personal use. There's one book that we've been liking a lot, though, that's actually a children's cookbook. Can't remember what it's called - probably just "The Children's Cookbook" - but we've made a few recipes from there several times!
