Radian Q's? And best price?

Can someone explain the padding in the 80sl and the xtsl for me? It seems like it is convertible too, like you use it for infant padding and then for toddler pillow? How long can you use the infant padding? When would they grow out of it?

DH thinks she might like the headwings of the xtsl for sleeping, but I heard you can't use them for a while anyway?

Are there any differences between the 80sl and the xtsl other than the headwings and print options?

Anything else you can think of to tell me about them?

And last but not least, anyone know where to get a good deal on one now?

*Right now DD is 18lbs, 27inches tall, a seated torso height of 11inches, and 14.5 months old.

The differences you listed are the differences. I found the 65SL to be a more economical choice. They all have the same frame and harness slots. At 16 months DS weighs all of 22 lbs so I don't know that we will ever max out the limits of this seat.

If you'll be using it RF in the car where a marathon70 just barely fits RF, then it most likely won't fit.

I have read that it installs really good in our car since our seats have a pretty good slope to them. I am thinking of getting one from diapers.com to try and if it doesn't fit, they have free return shipping. Worth a shot if it does fit!

The padding is not reversible. You cannot use the headwings until your on the 3rd harness slot IIFC and the infant padding can be used as a head support until you can use the headwings. DD never needed it though. And I think that the infant support can be used up to 20lbs...if I could find my manual I could tell you 100% lol sorry

That would be great! We still use the infant insert in DD's symphony too. She just seems more comfy. She is 18lbs, so we will have a couple months with it if 20lbs is the case.
