It's just not making money for the hospitals, and the hospitals are big enough to have influence...so of course they want to stop them.

I am so sorry to hear that Morgan. What is your back up plan? Can she still be with you as a Doula if you have another Midwife or even deliver in a hospital? Man what a slap in the face. That sucks both for you and for her.

Yes! Have her be the doula! Haven't you paid her anything? I feel like she should at least be present for the birth to help make sure you aren't messed with! It sucks!

I watched the business of being born today and wanted to cry again. I want a vaginal home birth so bad but stupid arizona law says no vbacs at home! No midwife will do them

SIL is going to pop any day now, but her doctor is threatening induction if she doesn't go by next week. I am so mad! I hate doctors lately. I don't want to get pregnant yet, because I know I can't get the birth I want, which is infuriating.

Tina, I'm glad you are feeling a little better.

The kids are driving me crazy lately. A lot of meltdowns between the two of them. Yikes, mama needs a break...

Morgan how far is VA, you could get a hotel. What was your midwife told, was it that she could not practice in the state of Maryland until this was solved, is she covered in VA as well, she may not be able to take your insurance but she may work something out with you. Also you might be able to get ahold of a VA midwife (or another Maryland one) who will be sympathetic to the cause. She may charge you less, and/or let you make payments. It might be worth a try.

In the co-op section they are having an Addi needle one. I really want to try them, but $100 on the set is much. Maybe I'll just get singles and see if I like them.
