to find out, or not to find out?

so for a while i was pretty sure i was going to wait to find out. I hear from everyone who waits how awesome the surprise is, how it's totally worth it- and if this might be our last, I don't want to cheat myself out of that experience. but, as the date nears, I'm feeling weak! haha (3 more weeks). I've told people I'm waiting and get "yay, good for you!".

However, I was in a baby store the other day and everything is either pink or blue mostly...blankets, clothes, etc. I have some sleepers, but mostly light-weight summer sleepers (DS July baby, DD June baby). I don't really have many winter baby clothes. The planner in me is really wanting to know...so I can pick a name and order that monogrammed blanket, have everything perfect and ready to go, etc.

or do you think I should just hold out? is it really THAT cool of an experience to wait and find out at birth? would I be cheating myself of some great life experience?

Haha, I was wondering the same thing, and was going to post about it yesterday. I have been feeling great about waiting. I bought some clothes for both genders and all that good stuff, but today I have an U/S, as well as another next month...and I probably COULD find out today if I wanted to. DH wants to, and I started feeling super anxious about it yesterday. I wanted to hold off my last 2 pregnancies, but caved. This is my absolute LAST chance, what to do?!? LOL! Ahhhh!

Hold out! My DH does not want to find out and although I know it would be my choice I have decided not o find out either! I have a few girls sleepers, a few boys sleepers and hats that I either got for free or at the resale shop. I will get a couple of blankets to last us a couple of days. Then for the nursery we will have everything ready but paint. i am going to try and find some really neutral fabric and make the bedding. All of my diapers are GN but I did buy 4 pink just in case! I feel really good about waiting. I mean I have waited 20 weeks whats another 20? Seems liek a long time but it will be here before we know it. My US is on Monday adn I think i will be happy enough just seeing him/her on the screen and knowing baby is healthy

well, DH says he wants to wait...I was suprised to hear him say that, as with the other two he was dying to find out! He says he's holding me to it this time....so, I guess we'll be on green team! I don't think I'll regret it!

you won't regret it, it is so much fun! We have been team green every time, wouldn't have it any other way.

I think if your unsure then wait it out.
I would LOVE to get to experience the big it's a~
BUT I know I have no will power to wait, I wish i could, if I was able to and not be so anxious to just hurry up and find out so I can shop, I'd definitely wait and get to experience it because it sounds so awesome when i hear others who got to wait and find out at the end.

oh and as far as the blanket, you could always line up a WAHM and your boy and girl fabric choices and then let her know as soon as babe is born, just a thought.

Oh find out!!!!!! The birth is its own great experience , have a great moment now!!!

You can plan, organize, get the room ready and all that fun stuff!

No waiting here.... 3rd baby and we find out this week! I couldnt wait if I wanted too...

I design each kids room with a custom wall size mural that I paint and I start around in my 7th month of pregnancy painting. Plus all the artwork in the room and bedding I make coordinates too! There is no way I do that after the lil one comes!

Plus I love knowing!!!!! So does hubby!
