Just lanolized my first sweater soakers, ?

Ok, I have NEVER used wool before. I just made some soakers out of a 70%wool, 20%angora and 10%nylon, sweater.

I lanolized them last night and they are still slightly damp, I didnt wring them in a towel so I think thats why theyre taking longer to dry.

ANYHOW, how do I know if they have taken the lanolin properly? My nb isnt due until Oct and I do not want to wait THAT LONG to find out if they work or not

They feel sticky to the touch, is that ok? Or does that mean the lanolin didnt get soaked in?
TIA for the info

If they feel sticky then you are fine it will absorb into the wool so no worries. Did you lanolize the inside and wetzones good?

I turned them inside out to wash them in the lanolin/water mixture. I just dunked and squeezed...a lot. I used soilid lanolin that I melted in the microwave. How do you focus on the wetzone if its all in the water?

You can either get spray lanolin or what I usually do it put some solid lanolin in my hands and run them together and then just pat them on the wetzones. I also do that as a touchup between washings.
