Blessed with Children Struggling for More, Aug 22-28

This thread is for women that have children and are either dealing with secondary infertility or have had children after dealing with primary infertility and know that treatment is the only way they will have more children. We also have women that due to either prior losses, or infertility don't feel like they should join a due date board till after the first trimester (12 weeks).

Please note: When your information needs to be updated, please highlight the area that needs to be updated. This will make it easier for me to update you.

If you'd like to be added please post your info. Please note I remove names if you are inactive for one month. This really helps keep the list more manageable.

Re: Blessed with Children Struggling for More, Aug 22-28

Melissa - Woo Hoo! I'm happy your husband is coming home and I'm over the moon that your tests are getting darker.

Liz - Still anxiously waiting for tomorrow's test.

Susan - I'm glad you are having fun on vacation! Enjoy yourself tonight too.

Leisl - I'm really sorry. I know it is frustrating. I get upset around the same couple of days. I'm at the point that I get mad though.

Cindy - I'm really not convinced that is still the trigger. I'm really praying it isn't. It just sounds too dark to be the trigger at this point. praying hard.

Yes, let's clear out this thread in the with this month and next.

AFM - I'm 8dpo today. Still just twiddling my thumbs and waiting. I've been super busy though, which is nice and tiring too. Okay, I'm off to bed. Hopefully, I'm going to get a practice session in tonight.

Melissa -- so happy for you, and glad your DH is home again, too! One question re: Amazon tests -- did you make sure you got the genuine Wondfos? There are imitators on there (that's what I got last time) that are just awful, but the real Wondfos are as good as any store-bought test I've tried. Of course, I'm hoping you won't even need any more from here on out

Liz, Cindy, fingers crossed for both of you!

Rebecca, I'm sorry it's been so difficult for you, and the expense just doesn't seem fair, on top of everything else so difficult about ttc with struggles. You and your DH are still in my prayers. How is he feeling?

AFM, AF *finally* showed up, 4 1/2 days late, so now we're on to the next cycle. There was a weirdness, though... after my last m/c, we hadn't done an u/s or anything because it was early enough and the bleeding straightforward enough that it just seemed apparent there was no retained tissue to worry about. During the heaviest part of this cycle, though, I passed a small, very stinky fragment of what I'm 99% certain was placental tissue. (Heaven knows I've seen enough of it in the past year to recognize it... and it smelled awful, just like my retained tissue did after my 2nd and 3rd losses.) If I'm right and that's what it was, then it would probably been acting like an IUD since my loss in May, preventing pregnancy. (DOH. And I'm nearly certain I released 2 eggs last cycle, because I had mittelschmertz in both sides at different times of the day -- I was so hoping for twins, or for at least one of them to make it!) Anyway, we're hoping that everything is clear now, and this cycle will be it.

Good morning ladies,

Ardenne: Sorry AF showed - I hope now that the fragment passed, you will have luck!

Fleece: SO glad the weight is coming off so fast and you are feeling so much better!!

Meldo: Did you tell your DH yet???? When is your official beta?

My RE called early this morning w/my AMH results. .45 ng/ml. If I converted it right, that is 6.3 pmol. He said it is consistent with what we were already thinking. Didn't say a whole lot more about the level other than that he doesn't like these tests and doesn't order them (I asked for it) and that he thinks antral follicle count is more telling. That I could be temporarily suppressed for some reason but he has to go based on worst case scenario. He also said that age is really on our side (I just turned 33). We agreed to 1-2 more iui/femara cycles if not pregnant and then we will meet to discuss possible ivf.

I asked him about the trigger giving a faint line still and he said he had no idea. That they don't tell their patients to test out the trigger. Duh. No help. He said I'm just filling my head with crazy ideas and not knowing by testing early. Duh. LOL.

Anyway, still getting faint lines this morning, 12.5 days post trigger. But they are still pretty darned faint! Bought a dollar tree test this morning and it and the iC have lines, but faint. So I'm thinking either trigger or possible chemical. Out look not so hopeful. We'll see what we've got on wednesday which was my official test day.

Fleece: I'm so glad to hear you're feeling better!

Vegan: Yes, I told DH a couple of days ago while he was still in Mexico. I sent him a scroll down pic of the equate test to surprise him. With a line that visible I couldn't help it. I showed him all the other tests and he said he could actually see the line from the second test on but I don't think it would ahve been worth sending him the pics of those ones.

Re: Blessed with Children Struggling for More, Aug 22-28

Cindy - I hope Wednesday brings good news!

Joy - I had an impossible time purging the diapers I loved, but things like clothes were easy for me. I didn't believe before last Wednesday that we would really be able to have more babies, well since Wednesday's appointment I have made an entire Amazon wish list of what I want. But having to save for the Ivf is at least preventing me from buying.

AFM- All my patient info was sent to the Ivf trial and it looks like we are accepted. I have one blood test to do on Cd3 (the AMH Cindy just talked about actually) and then we're officially in! The trial did ask that my doctor not do my surgery fearing it would skew results. So I asked what his opinion was on repairing my tube, he said that even if he could repair it with Dh's sperm analysis results Ivf with ICSI gives us pretty much our only chance. So tomorrow's surgery is cancelled and I call on Day1 to schedule the AMH test. I am so excited, we were so fortunate to have our appointment the morning after the other person dropped out. I am really excited, though I know it's still not a guarantee.
SAHM to my Dd(6/08) , Ds (9/12) and foster mom. Always praying for our five former foster kids.

Re: Blessed with Children Struggling for More, Aug 22-28

Dewberri: I'm with you. I'm trying hard not to buy WAHM trainers for my 2 yo. I'm surprised at the cost of them, considering there seems to be less fabric involved. Mine is more of a yarn issue than a diaper issue, though. I just got rid of about $300 worth of yarn and had the hardest time listing some of it. But it felt soooo good to send it off since I had no plans for it. But it was so pretty! But I have a ton more on the way to me...

Sillyu: What exciting news!! I just posted on your IVF weight thread. LMK if you want any more answers or want to talk about IVF.

AFM: With my kids I didn't really have any sickness. I had some nausea with both but no actual vomiting, thank goodness. I'm feeling like there's more than one that stuck since I never felt crummy this early. Maybe it's more pronounced since I've got to care for 2 kids but about 2 o'clock comes around and I'm tired, then the nausea sets in. I went to the store for saltines and ginger ale and they helped a ton, so I think that's probably going to be my dinner for a little while. The last two nights I haven't eaten anything because I felt so yucky. I'm waiting for an email from my nurse about going in Wednesday for my beta instead of Thursday since I think DH has to be in San Francisco that day.

Re: Blessed with Children Struggling for More, Aug 22-28

Meldo: I can't wait to find out how many are in there!

Dewberri: Same here! DD just potty trained. I so had to hold myself back this week when I saw there was a sale on grovia all in one newborn sizes. I want some for the next kid. I've already bought 4 newborn dipes - all before I realized we had such problems concieving. I should probably give them away - maybe then I'll get pregnant. So I won't let myself buy anything else, lest I jinx myself anymore.

Sillyyu: Did they say why you have to do AMH on day 3? I thought you could do it any day? Perhaps they just typically have people do most of their testing that day so that is why they picked that day?

AFM: I'm having a crappy day. I am a down in the dumps over my AMH number. And I'm pretty sure whatever is going on with my pregnancy tests is not going to have a happy ending. They've just been faint for too long. FRER was even negative. I of course tested again just now and there is a definite line on $tree. My cheapies arrive tomorrow. I have 1 more $tree test for in the morning (plus more FRERs but I doubt I will be wasting another one of those tomorrow!). Plus I bought a big box of milk duds at $tree when I was checking out and ATE IT FOR BREAKFAST! So I've been feeling huge and gross all day.

I'll post the pic of the $tree test now from my phone.
