Premade Scrapbooks

I have been making premade scrapbooks (just add photos) for about 3 years now for family and friends. Mostly for baby showers.

Today I gave one to a cousin and at the shower I had 3 different people tell me I should sell them. Has anyone here had any luck selling scrapbooks?

Would you buy one at $75-100 if all the work was done for you?

Seems like a pretty spendy purchase, but thought I would see if anyone might consider this marketable and if so, what the price point should be?

I might be able to get it down to $50 if that makes it more doable, but just the books tend to run $20.

Re: Premade Scrapbooks

I might do $50 if the book costs $20 by itself. $75-$100 sounds so high to me, I'd probably stick with the options.

Re: Premade Scrapbooks

My friend and I have thought about doing the same thing, but you're right, for all the materials in a decent scrapbook, you may spend around $50 and then to consider how many hours you'd have to work on it, wow! That's why they're such a special gift. Some people do sell them on etsy. I'd look there and see what you could find as far as comparable pricing.

Re: Premade Scrapbooks

I have heard of friends of friends selling complete scrapbooks. They sell for around the same price, too($75-$100)

But IMO...if you want a steady income...I would sell premade sets(like 2-4 pages of a theme) for considerably less...that way those who have started scrapbooks and gave up, or those who can't afford the big shabang all at once can still purchase!
