Sour face, not opening?

my little guy makes a sour face and doesn't open his mouth when giving pures. Hes gettinb better with "whole" bananas.
Does this mean hes not ready?

Sounds like he's not ready. One key thing is that they should be interested, trying to get your food or watching you intently. And definitely willingly opening their mouth like a little bird

Neither of my boys cared for mashed food. So I gave up pureing their food and they did fine.
I'd mash whatever I had to serve with a fork to make sure there are no big chunks.

Are there any other signs that would tell you he is interested or not interested? How old is he?

How old is your baby OP? What have you tried feeding him?
