TTC after miscarriage

I'm wondering what any ladies have done as far as timelines in TTC after miscarriage? I've heard everything from 1 month to 6 months, with most people saying to wait 2-3 months (or cycles). We miscarried back in late Jan/early Feb at 11 weeks.

I miscarried at 11ish weeks in early May 2005, avoided for one month (think it was anovulatory anyway) and then conceived again in early July, resulting in a healthy baby who just turned 1!

MC#1 (8 weeks) Oct 2000, MC#2 (8 weeks) was April 1st 2001, conceived (with first and ONLY attempt) May 2001, healthy full term baby Feb 2002. MC#3 (12 weeks w/excessive bleeding and trauma) June 2005, conceived Oct 2005, full term healthy baby July 2006.

Your body will definitely be ready when it's ready... but I would suggest taking time to reflect and emotionally heal.

I miscarried at 6/7 weeks in late december 2006, doctors didn't say to use protection or anything and without trying, we ended up pregnant by Jan 25th 2007 (never had a period at all after the miscarriage) and then miscarried again at 8/9 weeks in late February 2007.

Then I read up on it and everywhere I read said wait at least 1 cycle so that you have enough built up on the inside linging of the uterus and so you can give the doctors a LMP date. Otherwise, they make you come in far more often and it is generally more stressful. (At least, this was my experience)....

I also spoke to my doctor and he wanted me to wait more than one cycle but said it was for psychological reasons (he said I needed more time to grieve). but that there was no medical reason I really needed to wait more than one cycle.

We are not waiting more than that one cycle. I had my 1st period since the miscarriage and we are going to try again.

I think your body will know the right time. My first miscarriage was in April 2005, at 11 weeks. I found out early July 2005 I was pregnant again and had a healthy baby girl in March 2006. I had had 2 periods in between. I also miscarried in January2007 at 5 1/2 weeks. I had 1 period and just found out I am pregnant again. I am almost at 7 weeks now and holding my breath! My due date is Nov 28th. Ask your doctor as he/she would probably know more about safety issues when it comes to conception. first time my dr told me to wait 3 months....we didn't...and right now my beautiful one year old is sleeping in my arms! I also got pregnant right away after my first m/c. I lost the baby in Nov 2005 (wow - it doesn't seem like it was that long ago!) at 10 weeks (D&C). My doctor told me that we could ttc whenever we felt ready, so we started immediately. It happened so fast that I never even had a period between the 2 pregnancies. The 2nd one ended up being a molar pregnancy and I had to have another D&C at 12 weeks. Then, the mole came back in June and I had to have a 3rd D&C. Now, we are waiting to ttc until June or July (doctors orders). This is a long story just to say that we tried again immediately after my 1st m/c!

I M/C twins 10/05, waited 2 cycles, TTC in Jan 05, had healthy DS in October 10/06, I had accupuncture, and I think it really helped!
