Husband against IUD?

MY DH does not want me to get an IUD, and cites all those "possible" risks. He's afraid I won't be able to conceive again, but then again says he doesn't want another baby. I'm pumping for DD and don't want to take the pill, but what other choices do I have? Ugh, so confuzzled!

condoms! Men love condoms /sarcasm

I guess there is the shot, or diaphragm.

IDU scares the bojangles out of me too. I don't like the idea of any bits of metal or plastic living in my uterus.

Condoms, shot, diaphragm, implanon, abstinence, NFP/FAM. You and your husband should go to an appointment together to talk about your options.

I have an IUD by the way. It has worsened my anemia so I won't have a Copper IUD again but I will use a Mirena next time.

Re: Husband against IUD?

I've had 2 Mirenas and even with my complicated issues (I can't do any sort of hormones, I go homicidal on pills, shots, implanon, etc) it did very very well for me. I'm also full of fibroids and still no problems. The only issue we had is the first one I got the string was at a very bad length and it poked the hubby. Had it cut shorter and then there was no string. Removal was a tad more complicated but nothing horrible by any means. I loved my Mirenas, I just had too many fibroids pop up in the interim between the last one and my baby so my doc is worried that a new insertion would hurt. Otherwise I'd totally get another, they're awesome.
