Freezing Banana Purees

I have a bunch of bananas that my family didnt eat, they are very ripe. Mostly brown with some yellow spots. I want to puree them up for my six month old, but I know that after being exposed to air for too long they turn brown.

Can I add lemon juice to them to keep them from browning? How do bananas freeze?

I really don't want to waste these, and I already have so many frozen bananas in the freezer as it is.

Any other ideas of what to do with these bananas if they aren't going to keep well as a frozen puree.

You can just freeze the whole bananas before pureeing. When you defrost them, they'll already be a bit mushy. I do this all the time with overripe bananas and then pull them out when I want to make banana bread or baby food.

Ditto, plus if they defrost and end up looking brow, it's merely an aesthetic issue anyway
