What leads you to think 4 months is the right age for your LO to start solids?

Re: where to begin?
The American Academy of Pediatrics and the World Health Organization both recommend NO solids at all until 6 months of age. We are waiting until then and my big boy is plenty happy with breastmilk alone for now. I would suggest you wait and use the next 2 months to do your research.

Personally, I look for all these signs of readiness: teeth, pincher grasp, being able to sit up from a laying position. These things happen around 9 months.
Can't link from my phone but kellymom has a great article about the benefits of delaying solids.
