That is wonderful that you are all okay! The only thing I could add to this is that if you dont have window tint - get it. Even just the film that is almost clear. It will keep glass from shattering upon impact and save the risk of serious cuts.

So glad to hear everyone is okay! Good for you for still having him rear-facing! I hope you are able to use your experience to convince others to do the same.

Re: rear facing saved my childs life!

Thanks everyone so very much! To the mamas who also were in car wrecks and their RFing babies where ok, thats amazing! Especially that they slept through it all. Amazing!

I've watched many, many crash test videos on youtube and I couldn't NOT rf my lil man. He is just so tiny and fragile to me. I've always said he would ride RFing until he maxed out his particular Britax, but I'm going to check around and look for a seat that will rf longer. Any suggestions?

Also mama who suggested window tint, I've never heard of that! Thanks! Will defiently factor that into my next car.

I did however have a large window shade that covered the back glass. I got it from BRU, it had no hard plastic or anything on it..just the thin shade and 4 suction cups. No idea what happened to it in the crash. The shade on his window (which I know wasn't safe) was the regular pull down shade, it fell to the outside of the car.

Thanks again everyone!

Wow! So glad to hear a good ending! And now the next time someone says anything negative about you rear facing your little one, show them those pictures.
