Hedge Apples - natural home insect repellant

Hedge apples are used to deter spiders, cockroaches, boxedler bugs, crickets, fleas and other arthropods in homes. It's a great natural and safe way to rid your home of pests for very little money! They can also be used in home decorating and crafts.

I fill a large USPS Priority Mail flat rate box with as many as I can get to fit for $25ppd. The large flat rate box holds between 12-16 hedge apples, depending on the size of the fruit. The fruit will measure anywhere from 2.5 inches to 4.5 inches in diameter. I generally try to provide a good mix of medium and large sized hedge apples (as pictured below) but I welcome special requests! I can choose mostly large or mostly small hedge apples if you prefer, and I will leave stems and leaves on some or all of them if requested. (Otherwise, they are mailed with NO stems) If you have any other special requests, please contact me and I will do my very best to accommodate you!

Additional info about hedge apples and uses:
The hedge apples can be placed in basements, crawlspaces, around the foundation of your home and even up high on shelves and cabinets. Always protect your floors and carpeting by placing the fruit on a plate or small dish. Hedge apples are NOT poisonous so they are safe to use in homes with pets and children. They are effective for approximately 2 to 3 months in your home. Hedge Apples are also commonly used in decorating, either among floral arrangements or just by themselves in a large bowl. They are really great for Fall decorating when paired with gourds!

My ILs gave us a few and they work great! Smell nice, too, like pomander, sort of.

I like making centerpieces out of them. I wish I could ship them cheaper, they are so HEAVY though!
