Is there anything you would NOT bleach

Obviously this is aimed at those of you who use bleach...

I bleach about once a month. I never do anything special though I just add it to the wash. Wet bags, pail liner, pockets, inserts fitteds. I hesitated last time only because I have some MEOS in colours and I don't want to ruin them.

Think it's safe? or should I not bleach those?

My custom tie dyed prefolds don't get bleached. That's it.

Re: Is there anything you would NOT bleach

I've bleached my MEOS colours a few times- they are a bit more faded and one is a tiny bit splotchy looking, but I'm not as concerned with mine as they are in heavy rotation with baby #2 so...

Re: Is there anything you would NOT bleach

I wouldn't bleach any cotton colored or prints - such as fitteds. Just like regular clothing, I would expect it to lighten, fade, or bleach out the colors/prints.

Re: Is there anything you would NOT bleach

I have a mostly white stash, but my planetwise wetbag is faded and has bleach spots. My PUL covers don't seem to be affected. If you have any diapers with cotton print outers that you want to preserve, I would take those out, or they will fade over time. If you ever soak diapers in a bleach solution for any amount of time, it will ruin the prints on your printed and colored diapers. I had to soak some diapers that included megaroos prefolds, and they were very faded after. My philosophy is you gotta do what you gotta do thought when you have stink.

Re: Is there anything you would NOT bleach

ive bleached many prints and colored coton in the past with zero issues.. However my real answer would be it depends. If I'm bleaching to regain the look then I'd not risk the clors or would use color safe bleach/oxy clean if I was dealing with skin rashes ect that had not done away with other methods then their is nothing I wouldn't try bleaching. We had that with my oldest a staph infection that looked HORRIBLE and did not go away untill I finially bleached EVERYTHING and consistantly.. The only diapers that faded were some kissaluvs.
