Anyone given up and gone to just PF's?

I'm so tired of trying things that don't work and then buying and selling.

I just really want to have a stash that I'm happy and satisfied with and be done with it.

Lately it seems like the only thing that's working for DS are PF's.

I'm sorely tempted to just give up all the cute fancy diapers and go back to PF's, mind you cute ones but still just PF's & wool or covers.

Is this crazy.

The ONLY diapers that are not PF's that are working for us are Zany Zebra and we all know how hard those are to score.

DH is already on my case about CDing ALL the time. Now he's even more on it because I've spent so much $$$$ and it's not working.

I tempted to just do PF's and wool and then score ZZ as I can here and there.

I don't want to give up totally but DS is only 5 mns and I can't take the switching for that long.

Then to add to the frustration we're in Canada so it takes MONTHS to get anything in my hands once I do order.

I'm just frustrated and SICK, I've gotten what the kids have, and they are still sick.

Yum ya.

Sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well Amy. I hope you feel better soon!

I completely hear you about finding "things that work". I mean lately we've discovered that Apple Bottom Baby fitteds and BabyBear fitteds work wonderfully for Beanie, but um do you know how hard to come by they are?

And then you *want* to try something but you can't, because its been snapped up by the 20 thousand people ahead of you... That right there is a kick in the pants, so to speak.

I feel you though ESPECIALLY about the wait time coming to Canada. I am waiting on things from March, yet I keep hearing about all these mamas in the US who have their fluff like, within light speed (haha unless its coming from us well then apparently it seems to take forever and a small day!) and here I am with this list of things coming that aren't here yet

Boy it is frustrating to say the least.
I told my DH that once our fluff comes in, I am seriously thinking of giving up buying anything new.

*sighs with you*

Ya we don't have any fitteds right now. I have some in the works.

Fitteds are great too mostly because you don't have to worry about leaking or anything with them because well they are supposed to leak.

we pretty much have. prefolds have never failed us and they fit every time. Even my DH is glad we are doing prefolds again. we had hit and miss with our AIOs. So we are back to prefolds and covers and wool. I do have a few fitteds and a couple of pockets for the church nursery.

Oh and my prefold stash is so cute! lol

We were trying different things and ended up loving pfs and wool, or other covers. It isn't so much giving up as feeling the love.

Re: Anyone given up and gone to just PF's?

I'm going to just prefolds for both my girls. Since I won't be working here soon I was looking for the the truly economical diapering method, and PFs and covers are it. I was lusting after a huge bG v2.0 stash, but $600 for those versus maybe $150 to get everything I need to diaper both girls. It was just common sense to me. I loved my FBs on DD#1, but I don't like the whole get the right size, grow out of it, re-buy, re-sell, rinse, repeat. At least I know that the prefolds I get for DD#1 will work for DD#2 when she's ready. I might have to get new covers if elastic is shot, but those are easy to come by for not a lot of money.

more than once ... now i'm trying to find nylon/pul covers that fit for under clothes
but i do like to keep almost a day worth of aios around for outings (esp. under clothes) which I'm having a hard time finding to fit right now too

prefolds really are my favorites though
you can always dye them or add fabric to make them cuter if you need to
