If you are NOT looking at increasing the production, you may let the baby take the lead and don't really need to pump at all. Whatever she takes, your body will that much.

I'm worried if you pump that much you're milk supply will increase to more then you need. It's all supply and demand. So if you don't want to have to pump all the time, I would only pump a little bit here and there. Like if she falls asleep and didn't finish you could pump the rest out.

As for work, you can just put it in the fridge and then transfer into a insulated bag or mini cooler to bring home. I think the rule is that you can dump warm into already cold milk as long as there is more cold then warm. I'll double check on that when I get a chance. You can store milk in the fridge for a few days, the freezer for a few months.

I would wait until you get home to freeze. Hope that helps. Good luck.

I agree that you don't want to pump too much. You could try pumping the side she just ate from when she is done and just get what milk is left. So a little pumping here and there sounds like it will give you the supply you need.

When I pump I don't pay too much attention to the clock for duration. I pump until the flow slows down rather than for how long DS typically eats. Babies are always more efficient than pumps at getting the milk out.
