Separate blender and food processor on interchangeable?
What are your faves? My blender doesn't blend well anymore and I'd like a fp I think for soups, etc. It's just so overwhelming.

Re: Separate blender and food processor on interchangeable?
My sweet Hub bought me a Kitchen Aid "3-Speed Hand Blender" for Christmas last year. (Don't judge too harshly about a Hub buying a kitchen appliance; I actually asked for an immersion blender.) I LOVE IT! I never pull out my big, heavy Cuisinart anymore. In addition to the little food processor, it has a fantastic whisk-- makes fresh whipped cream faster than I can pull out the hand mixer and put in the beaters! And, of course, I got the immersion blender that I really wanted for pureeing soups, etc, right in the pan-- no more transferring to a blender!
Having raved about that product, though, I must admit that I am less than thrilled with my Kitchen-Aid blender. It had all of the features that I wanted (GLASS not plastic bowl), tapered bowl, powerful enough to handle ice, BUT I have had to replace the seal at the bottom of the blender bowl TWICE in a little over a year. If someone else has a blender brand they love, I'd love to hear about it! |
