Milk protein allergy vs. sensitivity vs. foremilk/hindmilk imbalance?

Help me out with what you know or think, mama's!!!

My LO is 4 1/2 weeks and here are his symptoms:
Reflux
Foul smelling gas
Obvious discomfort with gas
Excessive gas
Watery/Mucous Poo
Cries while he is awake more often than not
Red pimple - like bumps around his anus (<--- I hate that word! Poo hole?!!) and a welt like rash on the outside cheek that has bled.

Thoughts?

What color poo? Is this all the time/consistent? Have you noticed it more after you eat?

His poo is yellow 9/10 times. I say that because on saturday it was green and smelled like Taco Bell (which I had ate 2 days ago!.) And yes, every day for all the symptoms - but doesn't poo every day (just some little skid mark a few times daily), probably every other day he goes. I haven't connected it to how much longer after I eat. It happens *numerous* times a day.

Cut out ALL dairy for 6 wks...see if things improve. Sounds like you already suspect that's the culprit.

My ds1 was drinking formula but those symptoms are identical to my ds's milk intolerance symptoms. Except he also had bloody poop too. I also would cut dairy and see if things improve.

This sounds identical to my DS's Milk protein Allergy. He was the same age we I figured it out as well. I agree cut all dairy for 6 weeks atleast. You will notice a difference much sooner ( probably in 4-10 days). When I cut all dairy out I noticed a completely different baby in about 5 days. Hope you get this figured out quickly. If you have any other questions you can PM me. I would be happy to discuss it further.

That sounds like what my nephew dealt with. He's totally intolerant to all lactose though, can't even nurse (SIL isn't dumb and did the elimination diet perfectly to cut out all dairy of all kinds, even the 'hidden' sources that's she's used to cutting out due to BIL's issues with lactose) because he's so sensitive. It is well worth the try though to eliminate dairy from your diet to check. Even a few days to a couple weeks off of it should give you a marked improvement enough to see if that's what's going on.

Mucus in the poo usually means an allergy. GL! It seems like most BF mamas are dairy free at some point. I have been for 2 months now it's not that hard!

Yes, he spits up...and it changes. It is sometimes really watery and other times curdled. He has projectile vomited also.
