Hi I am in Marina/ Monterey! Cloth diaper using, sewing slightly crunchy mama I like to say "practical".
Also looking to have a "cloth diaper meet up" soon a cloth 101, with some bring your own stash for sharing and caring for CD newbies that will be there. I don't live in Monterey anymore, but I wanted to recommend a few things to people who may be new to the area. Parent's Place in Pacific Grove is awesome. It's a great way to meet mamas that are like minded to you. Lots of BFing, CDing, baby wearing, organic mamas there. Great classes including Wee Chant (my personal favorite) a singing class for kids under 1 with Mary Lee. Other classes include fun with foods, art, infant massage, prenatal yoga, and more. They offer financial assistance if you can't afford the "tuition" fee. Also check out Baby Moon. There's a lactation support group there, and Chatterbaux in PG, a great consignment store! Another tip- Marina library offers free aquarium passes for residents, but they do run out. Farmer's Market at MPC on thursdays is my favorite too! Lots of great parks too, one of my favorites is the Tot lot on Spray by Del Monte beach which is fenced in and has grass and foam instead of sand or wood chips! How I miss Monterey.
