Hi mama's I haven't been here for a while. So just wanted to update. Some of you may remember I was having these events w/ Charlotte with her going blue. Well they didn't stop all week, and were getting worse. So I took her to the Childrens Hossy, and she had two events while in the ER. So scary! Doctors came from everywhere, and she was hooked up to everything. But we found out she has pertussis. So we will be here until she has no episodes for 48 hours. So we may be here a while. I am so thankful I am here though and she is being treated. SHe is happy here and charming the pants off of everyone

Wow, I don't hear of that often. Do you know how she could have gotten that? Is that a contagion? I think that is one of the vaccinations they offer...I wonder if she will have a natural immunity to pertussis now?

So glad to her you finally got through to the drs. and they are helping her. Hoping she recovers quickly. Stay strong.

Thank Goodness they found the cause although I know how scary that was for you. Glad they can get it treated and she is doing better. What a blessing. Now maybe you can get some sleep momma.

I have an idea of how she got it. I have family that don't vac, and their kids coughed all summer, passin it onto lots of other kids. My kids were vaxed for that but still had something like it. Won't ever know if it was that. SHe had one episode last night, so it is another 48 hours before we might get to go home. So we hope to go home on sat. that would be a week here. But she has beeen loosing weight all week. it is kinda puzzling. They are hoping it is just cuz she's been so sick. If not it might be a metabolic issue. Not sure what they would do then. Thanks for all the prayers
