I think morning nap each day will be shower time for me, and break time for her (after chores, before school work). Elli's drop off went well. Her teacher seemed nice. I hope she acclimates well, and makes a friend or two. We have a bit more school supply shopping to do this weekend, pencil box! She will be excited about that! Also, the teacher assured me that they don't eat anything in class unless the child brings it, so we should be okay with her gluten intolerance (if she brings her own snack and lunch daily). I will have to school her a bit on cross contamination, not putting her food on the table, etc.

Re: Basically it's Friday!!!
![]() E is building his LEGO. He got the Alien Defender and the Space Moon Buggy sets. He has been doing a MUCH better job at night. I think we did finally find an incentive that made him interested enough to develop the habit. That and school has him all tuckered out! We have a couple things to pick up for supper tonight (Mel left us in charge!). I have a nice surprise up my sleeve, but I don't want to write it out here in case she checks in. Oh, and E and I are going out to lunch today. I gave him his choice of lunch destinations. What do you think he chose? Well, if you guessed "Panera" you are right! Given his free choice of teacher inservice day lunch out, my 4yo son chose "chicken noodle soup in a bread bowl." We will leave as soon as he finishes his LEGO moon buggy. Then off to the Science Centre for an afternoon of fun!

Re: Basically it's Friday!!!
Maybe the random person I texted with Cheryl's inverted # will send me Kohl's cash too!Kids at school. Need to do a quick ad scan/meal plan/grocery list, load coupons to my card and do preschool for an hour to kill time for coupons to appear. Laundry reboot as well!

Re: Basically it's Friday!!!
Jess, I hope you know I took pix of that coupon with a little monkey on my back, yelling "I need a hug!" in the middle of the salvation army store floor.
I'm glad ya can use it, I'm not headed back there any time soon. They had three brand new faux wicker chairs for $17 total, so I snapped them up. They can serve as dining chairs when my parents are here, patio furniture in warmer weather, and stack nicely in the corner when it's winter and they are not needed. Yahoo. I had to hold back from asking about the dozen stackable school chairs (the kind with the metal frame and heavy duty plastic seat), because DH would kill me if I brought those home without allowing him to veto first.

Re: Basically it's Friday!!!
Nice Cheryl! And, is there any other way to take pictures? For the last 3 or so years that has been my method!
![]() Coupons loaded, ads scanned. Now for meal plan, including a bday meal for DH (on a soccer night OBVIOUSLY), drinks for soccer, 20 school lunches, and crazy afterschool schedule meals as well. Good thing my life is so easy with only one kid at home now

Re: Basically it's Friday!!!
Well, normally I would take a pic with my phone and send to PB, but it's dark and gloomy today so it wouldn't turn out anyway.
Isn't it funny you feel like your life is so much easier with just one? When Christina had her last baby recently, she just sent the youngest two off to stay with the grandparents because evidently just having four other kids while adjusting to a NB is easier for her. Makes me feel like I'm slackin', LOL.BTW, I posted a pricelist from Costco in Thrifty if anyone can use it. I know the prices/availability differ a bit based on location, but from what I've been told Detroit prices are pretty close to the national average.

Re: Basically it's Friday!!!
I was actually kind of joking. Last year all I HAD to do was pre-k pick up and drop off, and B walking to and from school while I stood in the yard. This year I've got to do the preschool myself, plus after school we have garden, choir, swimming, and soccer right now. Plus I am doing library story time and soon will do toddler gym too, plus starting to do the volunteering at the clothing swap once a week. It is nice when two are home, because they usually play nicely together for at least an hour and I can get some things done, and they wear each other out. Now I am Lydia's play mate too.
