Re: Tell me about Fancy Nancy

jeebee, she looks fabulous. Wish I had some pictures of the outfits my mom let me go out in.

Is there something like this that's a little more boy-ish? The hubs isn't to stuck on gender specific things, but this may test those limits, lol.

So cute!! And your older dd looks fabulous!

So far all I've seen are some of the products, a few book covers, and hundred million moms talking about how much their girls love her! My dd has a major feminine streak and loves to dress up, so I think she'd love these books, but I tend to be really careful about exposure to certain things for my kids. Like, no barbies here, as long as I can help it. If a barbie enters our house I'll probably chuck it... Feminine and fabulous, yes please! But 3 yo in high heels, I'm just not sure.

I'd love more feedback on her! Thanks!

Re: Tell me about Fancy Nancy

My DDs love her - she has a tea party book, and some early readers -my 7 yo just got this for her birthday last week and loves her!!! Heck - I even love her with her curly hair and purple highlights! Its a great alternative to an American Girl Doll!

LOL This is exactly what I was thinking. My mom let me dress myself from age 2 so I had my own sense of 'style' until about age 6 when my friends told me I dressed like a weirdo.

Re: Tell me about Fancy Nancy

My 3 year old girly girl has been obsessed with Fancy Nancy for about six months now. I love love love the vocab that is taught in the books. And to the pp who was concerned about the exposure to things that are a bit too advanced, I don't think Fancy Nancy is that at all. She is just a little girl who likes to play dress up. I love that my DD uses the big vocab words that are in her books!
