Re: Diapers - what's working, what's not?

we have SUCH a heavy-wetter we have to "double-bag" him. as in two prefolds, or a fitted and a prefold, or a AIO and prefold. he's got quite the cloth butt but he needs it!! he's working his way out of newborn sizes, but not yet in smalls.

Thank you! I hadn't thought of putting the changing pad on an incline like we did with the bassinet.

We really love our XS BG AIOs...and HATE our prefolds! No matter what fold I use, we a.l.w.a.y.s. have poo explosions that leak out by her skinny legs. Every time. Only the BGs and KL0s have kept everything contained. In fact, I just ordered more of the XS BGs today!

What covers are you using with the prefolds? I have found that Bummis Super Brites with the awesome gussets are great for my skinny legged boy.

We've tried Super Brites, Whisper Wraps, some OS covers, and wool. Of the ones we've tried, the Super Brites were the best though!

Dd has really sensitive skin and most of the time I use a washcloth and water. That's it. She gets clean. When she gets red I put some Weleda rash cream on her. It was the Only rash cream that worked with my ds2 and I've sworn by it ever since.

Water + cloth wipe/washcloth is perfect for my DS. I was making a water + olive oil + baby wash solution, but that gave him a rash.

Yep, we use water on a soft cloth wipe and that's it. So far so good, and DS1 has never had a diaper rash so it works for him.
