ODS's circ was done in the hospital before we left, and YDS (born at home) was done by a mohel who happened to be a doctor, in the hospital that he works.

Doesn't need to be done in a hospital. My son had his done at the doctors office under light anestesia at 9 months old.

My sons circ was done at the 1 week appointment at the peds office and not while in the hospital.

Our mw did it at his 1 week appointment. Of course we never were at a hospital to begin with. =)

He was born at home and we made an appointment with a naturopathic doctor at a couple of weeks old for his snip. He did it in his office.

I know I'm weird. But I would feel better having it done in the hospital so if there were complications, you are right there with resuscitation equipment and the like. Granted, DH and I decided that if we ever have the decision to make (HIGHLY UNLIKELY since we are done...), we are going to let the child decide if/when he wants to have it done.

DS was done at the hospital but they don't so that anymore. If this baby is a boy, we're going to have DH's urologist do the circ.

Our older son had his done in the hospital by the ped on call. That was in Colorado. Our younger son went to my OB's office at about a week old (here in NY).
