Re: Good toys for toddlers?

DD loves her Rody bouncy donkey. She got it for her first birthday and still plays with it at age 4. Although it says it's for 3-5 year olds, it's more like 1-40. It's rated to hold up to 200 lbs, so even adults can bounce on it. DH has been persuaded to do so a few times now She also still plays with her Melissa & Douglas toy piano, which was a gift from her grandparents, but I wish they'd gotten one that was actually tuned. She also loves her magnatiles (but those are kind of pricey).

My Mood:
DD has always loved her wooden blocks. Also, her doll house, wooden play food, wooden train set, and her easel. And books. 18 months is about the time that DD really started enjoying books and asking to read. Oh, and any kind of push cart. DD loves piling things up in some sort of cart and taking it around the house. They sell lots of different types of wooden push toys with baskets. But kids will use most anything that has some storage ability. Since we don't have a push cart, DD uses her dump truck or her brother's umbrella stroller.
