Yay! Glad it all worked out. DH gets to take 2 weeks off with pay (of 10 days he is taking 9 sick days and 1 of those days is a holiday-Veterans day) and then 1 week off for Thanksgiving. So he will get 3 weeks off completely paid. When we had our last LO he couldn't take any time off at all (DS2 was born on a Saturday and DH was back to work that Monday), so this will be nice.

I'm glad you figured out a way to see the baby at lunch, too. I know that will make things so much easier for both of you!

Yep, plus Christmas break, too. So I will only be here for 2 weeks by myself after DH's 3 weeks off. Super great news about the car and also not losing as much pay as you thought!

I'm glad things are working out! Whoever is watching my DD usually brings her to me at lunch so I can nurse too, and I love it. Really makes a difference for keeping breastfeeding going, plus it's nice to have the cuddles mid-day!

I planned for 12 weeks but came back to work after 10wks. I was working from home after 2wks though which isn't an option for most. But by 8wks I was ready to go back and had to wait for my Dr to fax HR a letter saying I could return to the office.

So go ahead and plan for the max and go back when ready between week 6-12.
