Please Delete. Solved with a happy ending :-)
I had a super sweet mama sell me some trainers in EUC or GUC I'm not sure. They were a great deal and I was so excited. They arrived and looked just fine (I'm not super picky on how they look...they get peed and pooped in!
![]() In all honesty I washed them......I always wash my diapers open (these were sent already open). When I went to snap them together to put in my DD drawer, I noticed that one of the male snaps is broken off in the female snap part. I don't know what to do. I've only had one problem with buying stuff off of here and it was such a horrible ordeal that I am totally scarred from it and don't want this to turn into the same thing. I never snaped them when I received them, but did wash them (but because the snap is broken off INSIDE the female snap, I know for sure it didn't break in the wash or because of me. The woman sold them to me for cheap (she sold me 2 of the 4 and the other one I received was fine) (but didn't disclose the broken snap) so I feel bad if I ask for a partial refund so I can pay someone to fix it for me......I just Pm'd her stating the situation. What should I do? Any advice or thoughts? FYI: These were shipped to me super fast about 1.5 or 2 weeks ago, but we've been sick (first the stomach flu that lasted over a week! and now a bad cold) and I haven't been able to catch up on laundry or getting things put away. I don't know if that makes a difference.

Re: Advice on an Issue
I just wanted to mention that you might be able to find someone who will fix the snap for you at no charge. Mainly you would have to pay shipping to/from but replacing one snap is fairly simple. I'd offer to do it but I only have one color of snaps -- butter yellow (but if that's the color you need let me know
)

Re: Advice on an Issue
That is so kind of you both! Thank you!!! I thought of this, but I think shipping one way would be about $3, possibly less, but by the time I pay both ways, it will be as much as going to a shop and paying them the $5 to put in a silly new snap
I wish I was more crafty and could do elastic and snap repairs

![]() OP -- if you have a shop that will fix it, then it's probably worth taking it in! Let the seller know, though, that you are disappointed she didn't disclose the broken snap. Although it's unlikely the snap broke in the wash, I guess it's hard to say for sure since you didn't check right away

Re: Advice on an Issue
I would mention it to her. You know 100% that it did not break off in the wash if it was not snapped when it was mailed to you, and you never snapped it yourself. If she is a decent fsoter she will offer to send a partial refund so you can fix it. Even honest sellers make mistakes sometimes, and if we know about it, we can try to fix the situation.

Re: Advice on an Issue
Since the snap obviously didn't break in the wash (because they came to you unsnapped, and the broken part was stuck to the other part of the snap, right?) I would absolutely contact the seller and ask her for a small refund to cover the repairs - regardless of the fact that you washed it already.
I think it's highly unlikely that the snap broke just as she unsnapped it for the last time to ship it to you, and that she had no idea. I would actually guess that she left it unsnapped because she knew it was broken, and she was hoping that you didn't notice it right away (but maybe that's because I always snap diapers up before I send them to make sure they're in good condition - and I've never received a diaper that was unsnapped, either ).
