change already or not enough milk?

So, took ds to the ped yesterday for his 6 month check. Doc said I could start doing solids. I'm not overly eager but got some cereal anyway and tried it. DS made a icky face and spit it out, but he did enjoy chewing on the spoon. I also gave him a hunk of banana and he sucked and knawed on it, but it looked like he squished most of it between his hands. I'm not sure much got in his mouth. He also had a little nibble of a cooked carrot last night.

Today, he has had STINKY gas, and his poop was thicker, not the usual runny EBF stuff. Did just that little bit change his poop that quickly? I have felt more empty the last several days like maybe he was hitting a growth spurt. Once side has seemed to have responded to his demand, but the other side seems to not be responding as well. So, I'm a little worried that maybe he's not getting enough?

I haven't given him any cereal or other food today, just been nursing every 2 hours or so, as he demands. I'm currently soaking his diapers in hot water with bleach as he developed a yeast rash, so we're in sposies until he clears up.

I wasn't sure if I should put this in BF support or introducing solids.

Doesn't take much to mess with a little belly. As soon as my DD started solids, no matter how much she ate, the stink and consistency changed. Sometimes I even find whole chunks of carrot in there. And my 2.5 year old will sometimes end up with whole blueberries in her diaper if she eats a ton. Those stains are extra fun.
