Re: Whoo HOO Friday Sat and Sun Chatter!

I get our sposies through amazon mom - I think I paid just over $30 for a box of 192 pampers sensitives in size 1, not too terrible.

Took ds1 to the ENT today, it's likely that he has permanent hearing impairment, we go back in 3 weeks to confirm the diagnosis, then it's off to the ultra-specialists for hearing aids of some time. While this diagnosis might have been a real shocker a couple of years ago, it was almost a relief. I'm sad that he'll have to deal with this his whole life, but hopefully getting hearing aids will make his life (and ours) easier.

But on a happier note - I caught Mary's smiles on camera finally!!! Head on over to the smile thread to see (it's worth it, I promise!)

Brynn wasn't acting herself last night and today...congested and a barking cough, so I took her into the ped to make sure it wasn't croup. Turns out she has an ear infection already! I sure hope she isn't following in dd1's footsteps. She is entirely to young to be this sick.

Re: Whoo HOO Friday Sat and Sun Chatter!

to the mamas with sick babes, hoping they all get better soon. Kaya has been on reflux meds for 2 weeks and they were working really well but now it seems like they may need to be adjusted, she is back to screaming after eating and projectile puking- yuck.

sarah- hope you enjoy your girls night out! i had one with some girlfriends last weekend and had a great time.

When i went for my 6wk pp followup the midwife did my pap and she called this week saying i needed to come in for a biopsy bc the results showed some abnormality. I went in for the cervical biopsy today and OUCH i am so sore. Hoping this test comes back ok, the midwife thinks its nothing serious so fx that she is right.

Hugs for all the sick little ones! Naima crawled in bed with me last night and was burning up. She didn't seem too bad today except for throwing up in the parking lot at the Dr's (for Lana's appt). The girls are going to grampa's tomorrow but I'll see how she's doing if he wants them to spend the night. I can't have my sick little girl away from Mama!

Heading to bed early. I remember when my Friday nights were spent at bars and shows watching hubby's bands play.

Re: Whoo HOO Friday Sat and Sun Chatter!

All these little sickies make me . Hope everyones kiddos are on the mend soon!

Melissa, GL with your sons ear stuff- its nice to start early and get in front of it. Does he get infections? I have permanent hearing loss in both ears but do not need aides. I do however need a reconstruction of the inner ear sometime in the next few years. Lots of scar tissue from 28 years of infections left my drum and nerves not working so well.

Maile, GL to you too with the pap stuff. Try not to worry too much, abnormal paps are VERY common!! Take it easy this weekend!

AFM- we have been MIA for a few. Just been really busy. In the morning we have to drop a few things off at the PO before heading to the Track for DS2s bday party. It should be lots of fun but has been a pita to pack and prep for!! It will be our first whole day out with all four kiddos... I just finished making his Bakugan cake, he will see it when he gets up, I hope he likes it. Its not nearly as extravaggant as I usually make them but I just wasnt up for it tonight.

Its late so I gotta get to bed...night all!!

Hugs for all the Mamas with sickies in the house

Up late trying to settle a finally pooting/pooping baby. Poor thing. I think she's finally out. Night all, I'll chat later.

Re: Whoo HOO Friday Sat and Sun Chatter!

Good morning! I hope today finds the sickies going away.

So my friend texts me yesterday telling me to call because Mari (our black lab that we re-homed with them when we moved 5 mos ago) had broken her leg. Apparently she ran for the road (about a quarter mile down the driveway and ran into the side of a truck. She might have walked away with out much of a scratch but she ran into the little step beneath the door. I was fearing a worst case scenario when I called and instead I hear that she's doing very well and everyone in the vets office was soo impressed with how good she was. They thought she'd already been sedated, she was so calm even when they had to manipulate the broken leg. I'm so proud of my girl but kind of sad that we had to re-home the best dog ever. It would be one in a million to find another with her temperament and obedience.

So I'm figuring which swaddlers work and which don't. The Summer one works but the pink kiddopotomus one I used (or tried to use) last night was a huge fail. I'm ordering a true womb and maybe a woombie to try from baby half off.

She's been so happy and cooing up a storm the past few days. (Until she has to poop or pass gas that is).

My DH just asked if I was still on my due date group. I said yes and he asked why... I actually had to explain the benefits of having a group of Mamas dealing with the same things I am right now... He's definitely clueless...

Anyway, I hope you all have a great day! Lots to do!

Re: Whoo HOO Friday Sat and Sun Chatter!

So despite the fact that Brynn has an ear infection she sttn! From 9-5:30. I honestly think it was a one time thing...probably exhausted from screaming to and from the ped. She seems happy this morning, so I am glad. Letting her rest now and if she is feeling ok later we might take the girls to the pumpkin patch.
Hope everyone has a fantastic day!
