Baby is coming!

Just had my doc appt yesterday and it was confirmd my baby has definitely dropped and I am starting to soften...(TMI? sorry!)

I am having a c-section for this one.
Sadly, this baby won't make it til my due date of 11/2...I am going to have him 10/28. He wont be a harvest baby i guess but he will be a halloween baby!

Just wanted to share as I am getting pretty nervous since there is only 3 more weeks to go!
any tips on staying calm are appreciated!

Re: Baby is coming!

10/28 is a great day to have a baby! I know, because my oldest was born on that day 9 years ago (Oh, where has the time gone?)

My only tip is to KEEP BUSY. Counting the days/hours/minutes will only make it seem longer.

take up knitting maybe if you have nothing to do. Or if you have room in your freezer, make some freezer meals. The trick will be to stay busy, then the time will fly.
I'm having a Mary Kay party just to have people over and make sure the house is clean. Maybe you could have some kind of party too. I know there is a saladmaster guy in our area that will come and cook you a meal and you can have up to 6 couples over. Of course you have to be careful and not buy the fancy overpriced products.

Re: Baby is coming!

yeah counting down the days will make it seem longer! I am still *trying* to work as long as possible but unsure how much longer I can do so since its pretty uncomfortable to sit upright all day b/c of the baby's positioning.
I am trying to knit up a small hat for the baby right now...i also started sewing not too long ago..just need to sit still long enough for it! lol.
Thanks guys for all the support!

Cool, you'll have a Halloween baby, I'm jealous! You could try making him a costume to help spend the time

Re: Baby is coming!

I wish I had a date! I just saw my doc today and she was shocked how low little man was. I'm also 1cm dilated and 30% but she says that right on track

I feel kind of bad but I kind of wish he was coming a little early...

Yay! I don't know when I'll have mine but i don't think i'll make it to my due date of Nov 7. Could be totally wrong about that though, but I just have a feeling!

Re: Baby is coming!

My family wants my baby to come late and show up in Dec. I'm not too sure how patient I can be though. I'm sure I will start trying to convince the baby to come out before my due date.
